Regulatory Agency that Supervised Oil Rigs to be Split Up

Government sure moves fast after reading my posts. The NYT reports that the agency regulating oil rigs, the Mineral Management Service, will be split up into two parts. One that inspects oil rigs and ensures safety standards, and another which will take care of the operational side (leases, royalties, etc.). Of course, I was just echoing the NYT in their proposed solution, which is the step taken by several other countries, but still.
