Canadian Law Professors in the White House

Two Canadian law professors have recently returned to the academy after serving in the Obama Administration. Jody Freeman, formerly the White House Counselor for Energy and Climate Change, has returned to Harvard Law School, and Trevor Morrison, most recently White House Associate Counsel, is now back at Columbia Law School.

  1. The osmosis between academia, public office and legal pratice is one of the most envied traits of the American legal world here in Germany, where you have almost no possibility of shifting between career paths, so you should cherish this.
