More Law Schools, Fewer Jobs, Higher Tuition???

An interesting trio of details to consider:
First, we see new law schools springing up across the country, for instance here and maybe here. Second, we know how very difficult it is to find employment as a new lawyer these days. Third, state budget shortfalls may push law school costs up to $60,000 by 2012-13.
Any thoughts on the connection here?

  1. This is very interesting. I wonder whether these projects had been started before the crisis took place. Perhaps, even if they weren't, they may be based on an optimistic calculus?
